Employment Development Department is Hiring an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST II Near Sacramento, CA

TELEWORK IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE, HOWEVER, STAFF MAY BE REQUIRED TO REPORT TO THEIR ASSIGNED HEADQUARTERS AS BUSINESS NEEDS ARISE.

Are you looking for a fast-paced and challenging position that will provide you with extremely valuable Portfolio Project Management, Organizational Change Management, CA Project Approval Lifecycle process and Governance experience, extensive variety, and frequent exposure to managers and staff in the the EDDNext Modernization and Innovation Branch (MIB)?
The Employment Development Department (EDD) is looking for a highly motivated and qualified individual to work in the EDDNext Project Oversight Group. The Information Technology (IT) Specialist II helps manage the EDDNext Project and coordinates the final review of Project artifacts, including the project charter, Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) required documentation, requirements and design for the EDDNext MIB; manages strategies, governance, policies, and project manager support for EDDNext; manages and monitors EDDNext project related work to ensure it conforms with applicable internal EDD policies and procedures; and ensures conformance with state control agencies’ policy requirements, such as: the California Department of Technology’s PAL process and Project Management Framework policy requirements; and Department of Finance's Financial Analysis Worksheet, Planning and Expenditure Report, Budget Change Proposal Expenditure Plan, and Quarterly Expenditure Reports. Also, the IT Specialist II manages and reinforces adherence to Project Portfolio and Project Management best practices such as the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge.
Position is located at 9815 Goethe Road, Sacramento.

Statement of Qualifications Requirements

Background Investigation Requirement
